TLoP Foundation was born out of Thomas J LoPresti’s lifetime body of work that I inherited. I never met my grandfather as he died 5 years before I was born. Through his art I was able to get to know him more and more as I sifted back in time through a lifetime of his work, notes, photos, letters etc.

What I realized was, his art and legacy can be preserved in the blockchain forever instead of being hidden unseen in my basement.

When I started to mint Tom’s Artwork into NFTs it was immediately embraced by the community making me realize his work could be transformative for the Art Community if his lifetime of work was preserved and transformed into NFTs.

What is bigger than his work, is its ability to be able to create a platform whereas to give back to the art community by providing support and assistance to artists in whatever form that may take. From simple encouragement, to providing the tools and education necessary to be able to create and share their art. Removing any obstacles or perceived roadblocks in their way.

Tom’s Art Show NFT sales to fund the foundation are just the start of this game changing endeavor. The Foundation also raises funds to support the cause through Art Collaboration Contests where Artists are encouraged to participate and are given art prompts created by Tom to transform into their own creations. The creations are then voted on by the community and Auctioned off and the proceeds going back to artists in the community. This Allows the artists to give back, create something out of their comfort zone as well as get additional exposure in the community.

The Foundation also has an extensive NFT Charity Vault where I have donated many of my NFTs to the Vault to be an asset the Foundation can leverage in the future. If you would like to participate, donations are welcome.

The Foundation is growing and would like to be driven by the community that it is seeking to help. Behind the scenes we have been making progress (seeking legal council) in setting up the right structure with the supporting technology (Speaking with Devs)to do so.

Each one of Tom’s NFT’s allows the holder to vote on the direction the Foundation moves in.
